Groom in dawn...(12/10)

Weep the matt night when no star stares, it is a fanfare for a new blossom day...there goes some flashbacks about the ignorance and the negligence, and they match a light that never fades. A spot, what is it for? A soap melts under the flowing foam of extravaganza, and there is growing iridescence. A ballad to brush the decayed ground, it is orchestrated with myriad tunes of the past. A day comes still, while the call for morning drills. It is a symbol of an emulsification, a turn of focus and a move to deem. I have every morning glory revelled in the groom of will.

Jazzy Saint Germain des Pres...(12/1)

Still reading the 'Saint Germain des Pres' by Boris Vian, and would be able to get some thoughts after the reading. But surely what he wrote about Saint Germain des Pres is lively and chic...Tonight, I went to a jazz club on rue Saint Andres des Arts and like many other bars and pubs, the live performance has been set at the basement cave. This is often a nice venue with a cozy feeling of live music. Manouche plays every Friday at the place, and their jazz is quite skillful with good mood. A full band set with drum, piano, guitar and bass, trumpet and cello. The jamming was cool and I enjoyed having such kind of evening. It's always the moment I think about the magic of music. The dim lighting and casual environment provided a strong view of underground music which I like too. Apparently I need more time to explore the interesting underground of the district which Vian wrote about.

Parking Cohesiveness...(30/11)

Car parking in Paris is like chasing for a shelter, and due to the limited car parking space in the town, there is always interesting moment for an observer to view the different parking pattern on the street...A parking lot with 1.5 cars, or a multi-directional car parking pattern is the trademark of car parking in Paris. Because of the scarcity of parking, Parisien like small cars like Smart, Clio or Golf. Seeing a Smart car sneaking into an interval between another two cars is common, and the way the Smart is parked is quite stunning...having the car front pointing the opposite side of the pedestrain way, and yet simply fit enough to avoid any interception to the road. The way for numerous drivers to get their car out of the range is Thai-boxing like. Hitting back and fore to get rid of the obstacles, but well, they are simply the profession to handle this kind of rescuing mission.

Jardin de Saint Guillaume...(5/7)

I spent 5 minutes at the Jardin de Saint Guillaume after work today, and well...this nice garden is actually my little terrace outside the window...a natural habitat it becomes now, with bees transiting everyday between flowers...moments of education TV-like motion that we watched in primary school indeed. The world is so interesting, and it's amazing seeing a micro-ecosystem like this outside my window. Sometimes our eyes are too big that we do not see things clear...maybe. By the way, the last photo above was actually taken on a road junction next to a traffic night at Sevres I passed by last Saturday.

Du vin de Bordeaux a Paris...(19/6)

A Sunday morning, a promenade along Bld Saint Germain in Paris, and there is a shop displaying wine of Bordeaux in years from 1928 to 2004... A distributor of wine in Paris! Viewing the torn wine label or the partially decomposed wine cock, it is hard to imagine how the wine producers could have imagined the life of a bottle of wine which has been lasting for over 80 years. Sometimes life can be a miracle, and we are having a path crossing each other with a fate to get it through, and just like the bottles of wine, each story of its own can be entertaining...I tried to look for wine of 1977, but how symbolically, all the 77 collection have been sold out, leaving behind those of 1975, 76, 78 and alike praying for the wine of 77. As advised, 1977 has not been too good a year of harvest, and well, for more about this Maison des Millesimes, visit their shop at 137 bld Saint Germain 75006 Paris or their not very updated website at www.jackswines.com.

Rene Descrates...(11/4)

Just realise today that Rene Descrates, the great French philosopher, is actually graved at the Eglise de Saint Germain, a few blocks away from my apartment...
