This is a film directed by Jean-Michel Vecchiet, a French director. It is about the moment when Warhol was alive. He lived, and you can tell from the film...The documentary is nicely produced, and it can be regarded as an informative reference to the world of Warhol. The film covers the childhood of Warhol through interviewing his brothers. The story of Warhol is like how to become famous, and his persistence to his vision to art and life is influential. The era of his Factory business was glamorous. The artists, the groups and his superstars lived the golden time of the 60's. The film talked about Valerie Solanas who shooted Warhol in 1968 and the suicide of the artist from the Factory at the last dance performance. The development of artform during the life of Warhol is discussed. Viewing the final images of Warhol doing the catwalk and the project of Last Supper, there is a feeling of how his fame marked in the history of the 20th century. The film contains moment of Warhol painting on the ground, and the paint stained on the knee is an evidence of the art on him. The latter part of the film talks about the love affair of Warhol as well as his belief on religion. Possessed with success, wealth and fame, the soul of Warhol can still be that introvert as revealed from the film. His work and belief can always be criticised but his life is undoubtedly all about our last century. (B+)
