Resentir Paris...(22/1)


Quoted the restaurant itself, this is a way to 'resentir' Paris, and I agree once I arrived at Bouillon Chartier (BC). As one of the most historical brasseries, BC has been serving over 5 million meals during the 237 years...The salle interior of the brasserie has been categorised as a historic structure by the authority since 1989. It's quite a grand design. The brasserie in Paris is similar to the tea restaurant in Hong Kong. The service is minimum but efficient. The food price of BC is economical, and as a kind of 'move-on' (each table in the restaurant serves at least 12-16 clients each evening) business, the restaurant is running in its paceful dynamism. Without any reservation service, you would simply see a queue of people waiting outside the restaurant after 8pm. See what are the menu of a Sunday:

I went to another restaurant this weekend. La closerie des Lilas situates on the Boulevard de Montparnasse and it is another classic bistro in Paris. Less well known as a gathering point for philosophers and writers in the 50's & 60's, the bar has been a development bed for idea. There is piano performance from time to time in the shop, and it would be a good choice for a nice meal or a drink. Simply enjoy the music with the prestigous atmosphere that sediments a relaxing sentiment. Drink what you want, smoke if you want to, and just talk!
