Don't Believe the Truth?...(13/6)

After years, Oasis releases their new album again, and this time the group asks for a disbelief to the truth, while the truth is perhaps a general view that Oasis is only a big name belonging to our good old 90's...Listening to the debut single, Lyla, oops, there is no surprise at all but a similation of their previous works in the 3rd, 4th or 5th album, and well, is it another copycat of the repeated self after their great debut of "Definitely maybe" or the all time sing-along rockabully "Don't look back in anger"? But after all, this is actually the first album of Oasis which is also contributed by their now bassist Andy Bell, the unforgetable soulman of the band Ride. So let's give a try then. Yes, Oasis can no longer bring us any innovative new tunes now, but unlike the single, the album does contain a few nice tunes, and this is still Oasis, the greatest (?!) band in the world who can still produce and play. Those like Guess god thinks i'm abel; Part of the queue; let there be love etc. are still wonderful to listen to. You know, when you see from news that Liam left the stage in the middle of the gig and cut off the live performance, you will really doubt if the band can still be a band who can produce great music, or just a band still trying to make their hype and appearing as nothing but just a golden grouping of all the past VIPs who remain here to earn a living?...(7.5/10)
