The Commisioner and Chancellor of the Exchequeur, Gordon Brown announced on June 10 a package of debt relief for the developing world. The landmark agreement was reached by the G8 finance ministers at a meeting in London...though sounds like a good news to the poverty, there has been still a long way to support the needed in the third world. Over thousands of people die everyday because of poverty, and can we do something to aid?
There will be a movement/manifestation in Paris on July 1 , the day of "bandeau blanc" to raise concern and support to the African people in need. (for more info, please check also at http://www.2005plusdexcuses.org/article.php3?id_article=38). A Live8 concert will be held on July 2 in various cities including London, Paris, Rome, Berlin, NY etc. (see http://live8live.com) aiming at speaking out our concern to the leaders of the G8 who will be meeting and discussing the debt issue of countries mainly from Africa then. Well, when we think more, we will see that we can actually do something more instead of staying calm on a sofa and watching the world goes and goes...
