Never have I sensed any sensibility of the colour of red, I first consciously encountered the famous champagne and red wine label Moët et Chandon two years ago in a formal occasion, and haven’t had I ever understand why I always relate the brand with Mao, another symbolic name of the red...Perhaps it’s the pronunciation of the two names, one in French and one in Cantonese, but anyway, experience tells me that strange relationship can easily be established in my conceptual emptiness thought. Finally I got a chance to visit the wine house and its cave in Epernay. Situated at the primmest location on the Avenue du Champagne, the Moët et Chandon wine house is exactly the kind of visitors’ favourite spot equipped with professional, and well commercial, visiting tour and presentation of the wine house for numerous visitors and worshippers everyday. The history of the brand is a typical success story. An entrepreneur business, and an excellent relationship management with Napoleon during its early development enabled the wine house to position as a choice for the noble class. The visit tour included a very conceptual video presentation. I must admit its ample conceptual attempt resembled exactly the imagination of those visitors who have no idea what champagne and wine are about. We have a phrase in Chinese talking the relationship about the number eight and the number nine. That is the one. The cave of the wine house, however, was indeed very impressive. As a major product for export, the manufacturing procedure of the champagne is very professional and serious, and this is somewhat I find common for French business. They have their requirement and high standard on their products, while whether the model functions in terms of business varies from business to business. The Vantage on sale at the shop at this moment is the one in 1999, and as a total visitor experience, I brought one back home.
