La Baiser de Hotel de Ville...(27/4)

A work of Robert Doisneau was sold yesterday at a cost of over 150K Euro... Having a history of half a century, the photos shows the good old times in Paris when the new wave culture was just about to make great influences to the young generation at-the-time. Paris has longed been the capital of romance and from the photo, you can taste fully the sensation that emerged excessively out of the paper. Looking back, time has always provided a demonstratable sediment for the so-called 'Romance' to last long and longer. Black and white in colour, the photo 'la Baiser de Hotel de Ville' is exactly what we define as 'Classic'. No exaggeration, not much elaboration, but this is simply a moment of forever. When you watch again films like Jules et Jim or le parapluie de Cherbourg of the era, you will then know what people think about LOVE at that time, and just like the photo, it is the snapshot that can really stay for long in our history of life and death.
