Upper Vinyard...(25/5)

A taste of the Japanese regional red wine...
The wine is produced in Ueda (上田市塩田), a city in the Nagano region in Japan. The 塩田地区 is located at the left bank of 千曲川 and is a cultivated area.
Apparently quite some bottles are produced in this area, and with a chance to stop by in the traditional wine shop in town, a bottle of the Japanese wine was bought and tasted during the stay in Tokyo. This 2005 was somehow too young to drink. Fruity yet sour, and I would rather leave the bottle to age, though the potential seems to be limited...
